Interesting. Where I live, the "hooligan" e-bikes are primarily owned and operated by groups of older retirees who refuse to separate themselves from pedestrians. When one mixes the two, any speed is dangerous.

Are you in Florida?

In San Jose it’s mostly kids on serious e-bikes doing wheelies. and it’s probably not entirely safe, but does look fun

Shouldn't this link directly to the paper in question, instead of... Shuffles papers... Courthousenews?

Given the political climate re science and life, a website run for lawyers might be the safe place to publish. The idea of the US government (via nasa) looking for life elsewhere than earth rubs certain people the wrong way, people with political power.

The paper might contain too much jargon for lawyers.

I'm very interested in moving away from after effects - hearing of your success is encouraging! Can you recommend any resources for making the jump?

Our use case for After Effects was video stabilization. We have had good luck with Blender for this. I've also noticed that the old simple motion graphics I used to do - title overlays, etc - Blender can do easily. As for more intensive motion graphics, I can't speak too much to that.

As for any After Effects-style NLE capabilities - DaVinci Resolve knocks those out of the park. You'll also probably hear a lot of people singing the praises of Natron for NLE and Motion Graphics, and from our experience with that it seemed like the learning curve was non-trivial, but anything AE (and some aspects of Premiere Pro) could do, it could match... Good luck!

Wow these are beautiful machines - thanks for the tip!

What a beautiful piece of hardware. I'd love to see a comeback of this design style.

The highlight of my childhood (not to mention the basic consumer education for my eventual career in computing) was wandering the aisles of the Fry's in Campbell, CA. When that wasn't possible, I would spend hours reading the massive advertising spreads in the Sunday Mercury News, building my dream computer. Truly, my best buys... were always at Fry's! Guaranteed.
