Palmetto is no longer available at Costco. Some have attributed it to the founder (and mayor of Pawley's Island) making some less-than-tasteful comments about BLM protests in a neighboring city. I don't know that Costco ever officially confirmed that, though. Source: https://news.yahoo.com/costco-pulls-palmetto-cheese-120-1534...
With regards to the birthday gifts, we have friends that have their children choose a charity to support via donations.
An example would be the local humane society, and each birthday party attendee is asked to bring something that could be donated, such as leashes, bowls, or food. Then the birthday boy/girl gets to take all of the donations to the humane society.
It's a win/win. No additional clutter, and birthday boy/girl gets life experience with donation and community involvement.
My thoughts as well. It very much resembles an XU4, which would also match their declared "Pro" specs at 8 cores, 2GB RAM. Personally I think the XU4 is the best price/performance package you can get right now in this form factor. Glad to see they seem to agree! Of course, if it's something else, I'd love to know.
It in no way resembles an XU4, and if that is the "pro", I'll be disgusted, as that's not a solid 8 core. 4 of the cores are vastly underpowered compared to the other 4(All other things being equal, a cortex-A15 is about 2~3 times more powerful then a cortex-A7) And just look at the usb layout, there is no matching pattern to the video, and the video shows mini-hdmi, not standard.
I also use stow to manage my common personal dotfiles, as well as my employer-specific dtofiles. The way I do this is to keep my general files in my dotfiles repository, but then keep work specific ones in a separate repo (dotfiles-employer).
This separate repo has .private versions of all of my commonly used dotfiles (for example .bashrc.private), and my top-level files will check for the existence and source these, if present.
Both repos will be installed using stow, with the work dotfiles generally just extending the personal dotfiles.
