The Python website has a good list of tutorials for non-programmers (http://wiki.python.org/moin/BeginnersGuide/NonProgrammers) and for programmers (http://wiki.python.org/moin/BeginnersGuide/Programmers) The book Learning Python from O'Reilly is really good.
