But none that are actually going to be maintained in any meaningful way. Maintaining Python 2 is a huge job, which is also why the Python core team can't do both 2 and 3 at the same time.


Well, the team that maintains the fork wont need to do both 2 and 3 at the same time either, just 2 :-P.


No but they will have to sell the "it's not official Python 2" line.


I didn't realize how much effort it would be. Indeed, I think that comports with what I've seen from other forks - it takes a huge effort to keep it going.
