Apologies; I've looked it up and the one I found that most it wasn't voxel based. "Silent Thunder: A-10 Tank Killer II" was a first gen 3D accelerated game, nothing to do with Comanche, which I also remember playing with delight. Memory fades, next thing I'll be conflating Descent with those games...
