And see how he will deal with the Big Tech email services blockade... They should get huge fines as they are forcing all email services to go into useless complexity, and sometimes a complexity you have to implement AND pay for access.
It is not anymore "You've got mail", it is "you are blocked" (even though, there is a strong SPF like spam scoring indicator with with the email address being contained directly in the actual IP of the sender/receiver...).
gmail is not email anymore, it is Big Tech messaging, compuserve and AOL all over again. They are injecting their poison in people slowly but surely, but they hav e the means to be very patient with their billions of $... ohoho, you'll get to use their messaging platform or existing will become a pain.
I managed to get pretty good deliverability by doing the common things that are suggested (DNSSEC, SPF, DKIM, rDNS, etc.) and making sure my IP and domain were not on any common blocklists. I used https://maddy.email/ as my email server and coredns as my dns server, which seemed to work pretty well.
Have you tried setting up selfhosted email and did you follow all the common steps recommended?
google has started to block mailbox[x.x.x.x] and mailbox[ipv6:...] recently, as I remember, I did give a try hardly a few years ago with some Big-Tech-Jailed friends and it was working.
Now, it is completely blocked. The AOL and compuserve mob is back.
Have you got an overview of how the technical side of this works, from your perspective?
Or should I just go read more about the details of email and DNS and networking and blah-blah and wait for it to click one day? Usually that type of information is written in a Big Tech-friendly way though, and what you're saying here resonates with me. So I wonder if I could skip straight to the good stuff.
