You could shorten that tl;dr by removing mention of the Apache license. Which is much longer and more complicated than the MIT license, and incompatible with GPLv2 (at least according to the FSF).


Yeah but Apache gives you an explicit grant to patent rights whereas MIT, although doesn't explicitly restrict it, doesn't grant it either.
